BELL
Dorothy K. Bell, 88, of Tucumcari, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, September 24, 1993 at Lovelace Clinic in Albuquerque, N. M. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Kate Keefe. She was married to Marion N. Bell of Rice, TX, in 1948.
Rosary was recited Sunday evening, Sept. 26th at 7 p.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mass for the Christian burial was said at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Monday, September 27th at 9 a.m. by Fr. Tom Zotter. Readings were given by Kathylyn Starr and Jacque Newman.
Dorothy was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, N.M., St. Ann's Rosary Society, The National Association of Insurance, Past President of the Tucumcari Women's Club, Past Chaplin of the Benevolent Order of the D>O>E.S. She avidly supported many civic organizations such as Special Olympics and Exceptional Children's programs.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Keefe, son, Ronald Bell and her husband, Marion N. Bell.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Starr of Rio Rancho, N.M. Three grandchildren, Kathylyn Starr of Michigan: Ronald Starr and wife, Diana, of Colorado, Jacque Newman and husband, Tony, of Albuquerque, and five great grandchildren: Ty, B. Jay, Mickey and Joshua Lee Starr and Ashley Starr Newman. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Adabel Werner of Denton, TX. And Markolita Shugart; a niece Peggy Small and a nephew, Newton L. Cooper, all of Clifton, TX.
Interment was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lynn Starr, Ronald Starr, Tony Newman, Jim Newman, Chuch Lambert, John Vourazeris. Strong-Thorne Mortuary was in charge of the service.∼Dorothy K. Bell
