William J. ‘Bill’ Keba - February 5, 2015 - Leader Herald

Mr. William J. "Bill" Keba, age 81, of Fort Plain, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY.

He was born on March 1, 1933, in St. Johnsville, NY, a son of the late Joseph P. and Eva M. (Moskey) Keba. He was educated in St. Johnsville schools. He was united in marriage with the former Joan T. Ferguson in January of 1954. The couple shared in over 61 years of marriage together. Bill retired from Keymark Corporation in Fonda, NY. He thoroughly loved and enjoyed to hunt, fish, trips to the casino, playing cards, and most of all family gatherings.

He will be greatly missed by his surviving family: beloved wife, Joan; children, Joseph Keba and his wife Kathy, Anthony Keba and his wife Hope, Deborah Smith and her husband Timothy, and Eva Rumrill and her husband Richard;twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Mesmer and Lillian Linney; and a sister-in-law, Jean Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015, at 4 p.m. in The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY, with the Reverend David Johnson officiating. Spring interment will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday afternoon two hours prior to the funeral service (2 until 4 p.m.). Arrangements are under the direction of Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea, funeral directors (518) 568-2300.
