Judith "Judy" L. Bettner, 70, of Allouez passed away peacefully on November 12, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born February 9, 1939 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Oscar and Isabelle (Cook) Kasper and was a graduate of Brillion High School.
She married Dennis Bettner on September 16, 1961. Together they lived in many places, including Minot, ND and Izmir Turkey until settling in Green Bay in 1969. Judy worked in the accounting department of Northwest Engineering and then at Bill Doran Company. She loved traveling, cooking, camping, bowling and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Judy will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years, Dennis, three daughters; Sheri (Robert) Sammons, League City, TX, Cindy (Dan) Rosera, Green Bay and Deb (Steve) Kientop, Pulaski; seven grandchildren, Logan, Quinn, Reed, Blake, Jessica, Austin and Taylor; one brother Winford (Vera) Kasper, Brillion, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 5 – 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at Peace United Methodist Church, 919 Schwartz St. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. at the church with Rev. Judy's family would like to thank Dr. David Groteluschen, the nurses at Green Bay Oncology, St. Vincent Hospital 9th floor and Unity Hospice for all of their care and support for Judy during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Judy's name is being established.
