Ila Deloris (Kasinger) Chestnut, 70, died Monday May 26, 2008 at her home in Pullman, MI. Born May 11, 1938 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was the daughter of Ben Kasinger and Una Ola Messick Kasinger. Deloris married Frank Daniel Chestnut on March 27, 1961. Deloris retired after 27 years of teaching elementary school, she had been very active in Adlerian Family Counseling; was well traveled having visited more than 40 Countries and having lived in Saudi Arabia for 7 years. She was the author of a genealogical book on her family. She and her husband Frank moved from St. Louis, Missouri, to the Pullman area in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother William Dale Kasinger. Surviving is her husband Frank D. Chestnut, sons, Daniel Brent Chestnut, Brian Jeffrey Chestnut, and Galen Kent Chestnut, all of Pullman; one granddaughter Danielle Marie Chestnut of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, David Kasinger of Wesley, Arkansas; Joe Kasinger and Wally and Jerri Kasinger of Texas, Ken and Sandra Kasinger of Pullman, Terry and Sandy Kasinger of Oklahoma, Steve and Kim Kasinger of Pullman, and Clint Kasinger of Arkansas; sisters Ilene and Laverne Larson of Pullman, Alice and Don Hamrick of Wesley, Arkansas, and Susie and Bob O'Brien of South Haven, MI; plus many nieces and nephews.
