Battle Ground, Ind. March 1, (Special)

Joseph Tillman Kantz died at is home here at 1:45 p. m. today of heart failure following an attack of influenza. He was the son of Lucas and Dorothea Kantz and was born in Lafayette,Indiana on April 24, 1853. On March 21, 1883 he united in marriage with Martha Gowen who survives together with the following children: Charles Kantz, Meadsville, Penn. Mrs Alna Cassady, BattleGround: Mrs Emory Klepinger, Brookston Route 2. The following brothers and sister also survive: Ezra Kantz Cicero Ind. George Kantz West Lafayette, Frank Kantz, Linden: William Kantz Lafayette; Mrs. Amelia McDonald, Wilmette, Ill.; Mrs. Thomas Buskirk, Crawfordsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Battle Ground M. E. Church of which the deceased was a member. Interment in Grand View cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers. Rev. A.W. Smith will be in charge.
