Catherine M. baby, Navy Veteran and Registered Nurse.

Catherine Bauby, widow of Arnold G. Bauby, died Monday November 18 at Park Manor Convalescent Home. She was a member of the first Italian family to settle in Waterbury, and was the second generation of the Bauby family to establish Bauby's Corner. Mrs. Bauby was born in Greenbush, Michigan, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Dooley Kane. She moved to Waterbury in 1946, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a registered nurse. She was a former communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Waterbury, and St. Anthony's. She was a member of the Burma Mission Society; past president of the Waterbury Council of Catholic Women and past member of the Executive Committee of the Catholic Family Services. for many years she was secretary for the Waterbury Chapter of the March of Dimes. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Person (AARP.)


She leaves three sons, Peter A. Bauby of Oakville, Robert K. Bauby of Watertown and Thomas J. Bauby of Newington; four granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
