Funeral Mass was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday in Forest Grove Memorial Chapel for Anthony W. Kane of Forest Grove, who died February 27 in an area care center. He was 84. Recitation of the rosary was held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial was to be in Forest View Cemetery.
Mr. Kane was born in Portland and attended several parochial schools in the area. He entered the Army during World War I and served three years in France before suffering an injury that disabled him. He was married in Portland in 1921 and soon moved to Forest Grove, where he lived for 62 years, working as a general broker.
Mr. Kane was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church throughout his years in Forest Grove. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; son, Robert of Ocean Park, Wash.; two daughters, Betty McMahon of Hillsboro and Linda Scallion of Forest Grove; two brothers, Joseph of Portland and Earl of Centralia, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.
