Jessie Almarina Justesen, 101, of Chester, Utah passed away June 25, 2013 at home. She was born August 28, 1911 to Jesse LeRoy & Laura Elvira Taylor Maxfield in Colton, ID. Jessie's mother died when she was six and she and her younger sisters were sent to live with family members. She married Stanley Norman Justesen on June 27, 1930 in Nephi, Utah later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Jessie was an outstanding cook and spent her life in service to others. She enjoyed singing and was the ward chorister for many years in the Chester Ward.

She loved her family and had an outstanding sense of humor. She never had a lot of material possessions but was grateful for what she did have.
Jessie is survived by her son, Gerald Ray (Meredith) Justesen, Chester, UT; son-in-law, Carl Holm, Stockton, UT; sister, Emma Marie (Thomas) Morris, SLC, UT; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley; daughter Wilma Holm; siblings, Erma Fowler, Ray Maxfield, Dalmas Maxfield and grandson Larry Holm. The family would like to express a special thanks to IHC Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate service.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanpitch 1st Ward Chapel, Wales, UT with a viewing from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Spring City Cemetery.
