He was beloved by all who knew him. He was of pure character, very intelligent, was beloved by his teachers, always obedient at home and at school, and affectionate - a lover of right. Your correspondent was his Sunday School teacher, and knew him of superior character.
His funeral was preached by the Revs. B. B. White and W. J. Whitesell at Graves Chapel, after which his body was laid to rest in the cemetery to wait the final resurrection.
