Dorothy Ellen (Jouett) Allen, 91, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Litchfield, to Leslie C. and Helen R. (McGregger) Jouett. She married Loyal Range, and they were later divorced. She then married Bill Allen, and they both preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Leslie Warren (Sharon) Range of Carrollton, Gary Russell (Janine) Range of Greenfield, Laverne Range of Bunker Hill, and Billy Bob (Carol) Range of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and twin brothers Darrold and Gerold (Antonia) Jouett.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Sablotny; a granddaughter, Amber Hope Range; three brothers Richard, William, and Harold Ray; and a sister, Betty Bowman.

Dorothy worked for the White Hall Dress Factory and JC Penney for a while but spent most of her life as a homemaker.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow at the Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Greenfield United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
