Julie Marie Joslin, 47, born February 27, 1968, passed over to be with the Lord on March 19, 2015.

In living out her benevolent character, Julie obtained her BSN from Washburn University in 1991 and worked as a registered nurse in various nursing occupations. She also volunteered at homeless shelters, half-way houses and contributed in many ways to the needy.

Julie was very active in the Catholic Church throughout her life, including youth activities and RCIA. She was most recently a beloved member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Overland Park, KS, and enjoyed her Tuesday morning women’s bible study.

Julie had many interests, she especially loved to express her creativity by decorating, sewing, gardening, painting, creating unique crafts, and cooking. Additionally, Julie was an avid pet lover, most recently of her very special golden retriever Cooper, and cat Charlie.

Julie would like to thank her palliative care doctors, Dr. Porter-Williamson, Dr. Bartlett and their teams, for their compassionate care and for being so up front with her regarding her prognosis.

Julie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Dr. Leeman Joslin and Thelma Joslin Burg of Harper, KS, and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Ellen Steinbacher of St. Paul, KS, and her oldest brother Jeff Joslin of Argonia, KS.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Dean Joslin of Anthony, KS, Mary Joslin of Lawrence, KS, her siblings, Jay Joslin of Prairie Village, KS, Janee’ Joslin (Debi) of Virginia Beach, VA, Jon Joslin of Lenexa, KS, and Jalana Cloud (Scott) of Tonkawa, OK, and her beloved nieces who she cherished, Joslyn, Sarah, Samantha and Giana, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends (especially Michaelane Muhlenbruch Gish, who was her lifelong friend since the age of 3).

Recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 with Father Peltzer officiating and Mass of the Christian Burial held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 both at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community with Father Storey officiating.
