Marguerite Anna Johnston, 88, was born Feb. 26, 1920, near Alton, Mo., to Henderson and Minne Jones. She married Glenn W. Johnston in 1940 and they had four children: Gordon (Pat), of California, Glenda (Richard) Culver of Elko, Nev., James (Caroline) of Elko and Richard. She is survived with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She worked for many years at Elko's (Mayfair) Sewell's Market and Northeastern Nevada Museum prior to retiring in 1990.
Marguerite was a loving mother to all of her family and many others. She had a longtime friend, Jack Williams, and dog Sammy that she loved very much. Her favorite pastime was watching any and all sports on TV.
She was preceded in death by brothers Bill and James; sisters Ruby, Alma and Audrey Mae; husband Glenn; and son Richard.
Marguerite's family would like to invite all of her friends to a gathering in Celebration of Her Life at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 277 Willow Street.
