He Was Printer at The Star 27 Years
Charles f. Jones, sr., 62 of 5031 Waldron Avenue, died Saturday night at St. Luke’s Hospital, where he had been a patient two days. Mr. Jones, a printer at The Star 27 years, apparently died of a heart attack.
He was born in Illinois and had lived in Kansas City 35 years. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Claude B. Champion Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, and the Veterans of World War I club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marcella B. Jones of the home; a son, Charles F. Jones, Jr., who is studying for the priesthood at the Immaculate conception Seminary, Conception, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bassing, 3902 Garfield and Mrs. Joyce Glynn, 5135 Bellefontaine; a brother, D. L. Jones, Lynwood, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 o’clock Tuesday at the Newcomer Chapel, Brush Creek and the Paseo. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
