Funeral services for Augustus L. "Loye" Jones will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana, Officiating will be the Rev. Leon Boggs and the Rev. Lynn Malone. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at Rose-Neath.
Loye was born July 6, 1931 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church, on the Board of Directors at Minden Building and Loan, a member for more than 50 years with the Louisiana Pharmaceutical Association, National Pharmaceutical Association and the National Association of Retail Druggists.
His sister, Melba Lowery and brother, J.T. Jones preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Peggy W. Jones of Minden, Louisiana; son, Gregory Loye Jones and wife Charlotte of Minden; daughters, Judy J. Edwards of Minden and Mitzi J. Madden of Minden; brother-in-law, Dennis Lowery of Pineville; grandchildren, Gregory Nathan Jones, Piper L. Malone and husband, Josh, Ashley Milam, Cody Milam and wife, Yasamine, Emily A. Edwards and Ryan W. Hammontree, great-grandchildren McKinley Milam, Nolan Ryder Malone and Payton Madison Malone.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wise, Scotty Wise, Nathan Jones, Ryan Hammontree, Josh Malone, Tommy Jones, Ken Lowery and Cody Milam.
Honorary pallbearers will be MBL Board of Directors, J.C. Johnson, Ben Hunter, Steve Cole, David Williams, Verle Hulse, Wayne Williamson, Jimmy Lowrey and Roger Talton.
