Geneva May Hilt, 91 of Lafayette died Saturday, September 06, 2008 at George Davis Manor. She was born on March 28, 1917 to the late Clyde and Ruth Shrum Jones in Illinois. She lived most of her life in Lafayette.
She graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Horace "Honk" Hilt in June, 1937 in Williamsport. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Schuyler Ave Wesleyan Church. She loved china painting and was a member of the China Painters Guild. She also enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by one son Michael Hilt (Alice) of Export, PA and one daughter Linda Root (Paul) of Kennett Square, PA; one sister Florence Dickes of Indianapolis.
Visitation 1-2 PM Monday, service 2 PM Monday at Hippensteel Chapel. Pastor Justin J. Nierer officiating. Interment Spring Vale Cemetery. She is survived by five grandchildren Robin Carpenter (Bryan), Scott Root (Laura), Steven Root (Sue), Christopher Hilt (Meredith), and Shannon Weddle (Bill) and 10 great grandchildren.
