Peggy M. Holbrook, 74, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday at her home.
She was born May 14, 1934, in Parsons, a daughter of the late Russell and Margaret Schuler Jones. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and was employed at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Mrs. Holbrook was a member of Parsons Baptist Church and also belonged to the North End Slovak Club. She was known by all of the people who loved her as “Nana.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Holbrook.
Surviving are her sons, Scott Holbrook and his wife, Jane, Dallas; Todd Holbrook and his wife, Barbara, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Jennifer, Daniel, Kimberly; brother Harold Jones and his wife, Betty, Wilkes-Barre; companion Joseph Hvozdovic, Wilkes-Barre.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by Scott McGrady, interim pastor of Parsons Baptist Church. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m.
