JOSEPHINE JONES BROWN of Birmingham, AL, was called home to be with her Savior on October 1, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her residence. Formerly a member of Twenty-Third Street Baptist South and a current member of First Baptist Church, East Thomas. Visitation will be held on October 5, 2012 from 1-7 PM at Aubrey Bushelon. Funeral Services on Saturday, October 6, 2012, 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, East Thomas with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Reverend George Robinson, officiating. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Lee Brown. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Gloria Griffin; sisters, Otis Favors and Danna Merritt; brother, Simon (Rosetta) Jones; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a number of relatives and friends.
