LaFAYETTE Mrs. Christine Hegwood Jones, 88, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012.She was a member of the Naomi Baptist Church.Preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Jones.Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Rick Sheehan; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Esther Jones, Ricky and Donna Jones; sisters, Louise Nichols, Rock Spring, Betty Slatton, Henagar; brothers, Tommy Hegwood, Rock Spring, Jackie Hegwood, Rock Spring; grandchildren, Kenneth (Jacqueline) Jones, Eric Sheehan, Dakota (Brooke) Jones, Montana (Shanea) Jones, Jeremiah Jones; great-granddaughters, Miranda Jones, Carley Jones, Abigail Jones and Ellie Mae Jones; great-great-granddaughter, Sydney Jones; great-great-grandson, Lucas Jones; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Naomi Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday. Service conducted by the Rev. Garland Hullender and the Rev. Charles McEhaney.Pallbearers are Wayde Gilbert, Josh Chapeman, Terry Dooley, Keith Merdock, Garry Chapman, Skip Richardson, Tim Williams, Jason Hughes, Jeff Thornton, Allen Thornton, Tommy McGaha and Keith Wishon.Honorary pallbearers are Adult Three Sunday School Class of Naomi Baptist Church.Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
