Portal - Mrs. Billie Jean Jones Mikell, age 52, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
The Portal resident was a member of the Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Church in Portal.
She is survived by two daughters, Inez Meyon Roundtree and Consuela Demetri Jones, both of Portal; her father, Billy Jones of Statesboro; four sisters, Lutrell (Ulysses) Ware, Shirley Ann Jones and Carolyn (Lessie) Hagin, all of Portal, and Kathy Banner of Millen; a brother, Daniel (Crystal) Jones of Portal; a granddaughter, Joecreasieha Jean Roundtree of Portal; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pine Grove Holiness Church in Portal with Rev. Anthony Chavers officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Brooklet.
