Daisy Clayton, 71, 3509 Burton Ave., died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Saint Vincent Health Center.
She was born April 28, 1932, in Hattiesburg, Miss., daughter of the late Eartha Jones Sr. and Charlotte Jones. She had lived in Erie for 52 years.

She was born April 28, 1932, in Hattiesburg, Miss., daughter of the late Eartha Jones Sr. and Charlotte Jones. She had lived in Erie for 52 years.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and served as a deaconess. She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Nathaniel, Frank, and John D. Jones and Eartha Jones Jr.; six sisters, Lossie Mae, Mary Jean, Nova Ruth and Jewel Jones, Ruth Jones Whigham, and Mary Jean Jones Dantzler; and a grandson, Joseph Clayton III.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Joseph Clayton; two sons, Moses Clayton and his wife, Diana, of Erie and Jimmy Clayton and his wife, Debra, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; two daughters, Marva Jean Clayton Jordan and her husband, Sam, and Joanne Clayton Goodwine, all of Erie; three brothers, Jack Jones Sr. and his wife, Donna, Leotis Jones and his wife, Della, and Benjamin Jones, all of Erie; a sister, Erma Jean Jones of Erie; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 757 E. 26th St. A service will be held there Friday at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Allen B. Green.
Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Law Funeral Home, 1861 Buffalo Road.
