Gary D. Jones, of Rising City, Nebraska died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Bryan West Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska. Gary was born on July 14, 1935 at David City, Nebraska to Henry Barney and Gertrude E. (Selden) Jones.
Gary lived his life around the David City and Rising City, Nebraska areas. He graduated from Rising City (NE.) High School and worked for Smith's Dairy. Gary married Irene Marie Martens on February 14, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rising City, Nebraska. Three children were born to this union. He worked at Columbus (NE.) Hydrolic for over 44 years and farmed for 20 years. He retired in 1999. In his younger years, he enjoyed blue rock shooting, deer and pheasant hunting and fishing. He was an avid collector of many things.
Gary was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Duane Jones and grandson, Brandon Kamphaus.
Interment was in Circle Mound Cemetery, Rising City, Nebraska.
