Harry E. Jones, 62, of Dayton, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Houston.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dayton with burial following at San Jacinto Cemetery in East Houston. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Harry was born January 7, 1944 in Livingston, to parents; James H. and Josephine Patterson Jones, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of Dayton High School class of 1962, veteran of the US Army with service during the Vietnam War, and a retired operator for Chevron Chemical Plant in Mont Belvieu with 28 years of employment. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting was as his greatest passion.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Joan A. Redler Jones of Dayton; son: Gene Jones and wife Sandy of Dayton; grandson: Phillip Jones of Dayton, sisters: Donna Vae Hughes and Sharon Ann Gradyson, his dog: Kiddo, and numerous other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, the Ronald McDonald House, and/or the American Cancer Society, in Harry's memory.
