She is the daughter of William Asbury Sumerlin, b. 1826, d. 26 APR 1892 (age 66), a 1st Lt. There were two children, sons, from the marriage of Martin Eastwood Jones and Mary 'Polly' Sumerlin. Both are named below, in birth order:

      (a)  William ‘Billy’ Jones, b. About 1874, d. After 1960.  Lived his life near Miami, Florida.  Uncle William "Billy" Jones, my mother's half-brother, was born about 1874, date of death sometime after 1960.  Facts.  I've never met Uncle "Billy" Jones, nor any of his family.  My Brother, Alfred Jackson Bowen, III, born 05 JUN 1930, told me in 1958, the same year he married;  he, his wife, Fannie Myrtle Bradley (Wealthy's youngest sister), and our Mother, Ethel Marguerite Jones Bowen, visited Miami, Florida.  They had Uncle 'Billy's" address and they spent the night in Uncle Billy's house (Uncle William "Billy" Jones, mother's oldest sibling, was about 84 years old at that time and doing well) and continued on to Miami Beach the following day.  My sister,  Marguerite, told me after she divorced her first husband and while she was living in Miami, Florida, one of Uncle "Billy's" daughters, her first cousin, called her on the telephone because they had a mutual acquaintance.  Marguerite remembers she introduced herself as "Billie" Jones, probably a nickname,  Marguerite said has never met her, in person.  She remembers, however, that this daughter of Uncle "Billy" told her she was a six (6') feet tall and a Model in California, but was now back in Florida.  The mutual acquaintance of their's was Marguerite's Flying Instructor, who had skipped out to South America without allowing her to complete all her flying lessons.  Marguerite thinks there may have been other children in Uncle "Billy's" family but does not know their names or any specific information for documentation.

(b)  John T. Jones, born 1877, died October 17, 1950 while visiting his relatives in Claxton, Georgia, at age 73. John was at one time a Deputy Sheriff in Bulloch County, Georgia.  He moved to West Central Florida where he lived and worked and his reemains are interred in Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery,  Sidney, Hillsborough County, Florida.  The 1940 UNITED STATES FEDERAL CENSUS recorded John T. jones, Age 63, living in a Farm House which he owned with his wife Alice I. Jones, age 50, address listed as North Of Temple Terrace Road, Hillsborough County, Florida and he stated he was living in that same house in 1935 and was self-employed as a Citrus Grover.
