Funeral services for Carl Tate Jones, 66, of 830 Grant St. are scheduled Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church where he was a member. Mr. Jones died at approximately 4:15 p.m. Monday after suffering a heart attack. He was taken to Decatur Clinic and died within 15 minutes after reaching the clinic.
The Rev. A.B. Van Arsdale will conduct the service with interment in City Cemetery, Brown directing.
Body is to be returned to the residence today at 4 p.m.
Mr. Jones was a machinist and for the past 14 years had been employed by the County Schools Transportation Department.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maria Jones; one sister, Mrs. N.B. Smith, Florala, Ala; and a number of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Joe Beams, Hugh Ogle, W.L. Grimes, Graves Pettey, Oscar Napps, Carl Allgood, Emmett McClary, and Rufus Warren.
