He died Friday in Shreveport after a long illness.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Jones of Epps; three sons, Gary Jones and Darrell Jones, both of Epps, Ray Jones of Gulfport, Miss.; four daughters, Sheilia Payne, Tonya McPherson, both of Epps, Sherry Galloway of Rayville, Carla Blaylock of Delhi; two brothers, Jim Jones of Depps, Bob Jones of Natchez; six sisters, Emma Howington and Nobie Alonzo, both of Epps, Myrtle Hines and Juanita Zimmerman, both of Kinner, Margaret Barrow of Delhi, Edna Yeager of Monroe; 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Swett, David Brock, Donald Myers, Alton Hale, Peevy Harvey, Larry Lingefelt.
