William Johnston of Weber avenue one of the older residents of this city died yesterday at ten twenty, after an illness of only two days caused by appendicitis. Mr. Johnston was seventy-six years of age being born on March 26, 1847. He was well and favorably known in this city, having resided in this vicinity since 1887. He is survived by one son, Geo. Johnston, of Spring avenue and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Johnston of 421 North Brady street, as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 1:30 with interment in the Rumbarger cemetery.
