Elizabeth Johnston Ryno of Mesquite, TX was born May 16, 1925, and passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 24, 2012, at the age of 86. She was retired from Lone Star Gas Company and was a 50 year life member of Eastern Star Chapter 887. Beth enjoyed crocheting and loved to give gifts from the heart that she made for family and friends. Sewing was also a great skill that she used as a constant in her life. An avid reader, Beth passed her love of reading anything to her daughters and it was a great source of joy to her that her girls read books on any subject as well. A kind-spirited woman who always had a smile on her face, she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beth is survived by her husband, Hershell Ryno, daughters Margarett Bevis, Betty Gillen, Cookie Shepard and husband Chuck, two step daughters Trisha Spurlock and Patricia Scharshell, and 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. She's also survived by two sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Mesquite on Thursday, January 26 at 1:00 p.m., with service to follow at 2:30 p.m.
