Born in Snow Hill, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Aline Duffy Johnson.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury. She was a 1931 graduate of Snow Hill High School and attended Beacom Business College in Wilmington. She worked seven years for Curtis Long and Stanley Robbins as a legal secretary.
She is survived by two sons, Charles W. Bennett III (wife Kathleen) of Lutherville, Md., and Thomas Lee Bennett (wife Amy) of Stevensville; five grandsons, Christopher Bennett of Glen Burnie, Md., Nicholas Bennett and Tyler Arbaugh, both of Stevensville, Craig White and his wife, Nicole, and Colin White and his wife, Molly, all of Baltimore; and a great-granddaughter, Isabelle Rose White.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles W. Bennett; and two sisters, Harriet Balderson and Ruth Johnson.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home P.A. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Glen Catley will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
