|Birth: ||Oct. 26, 1861|
|Death: ||Mar. 17, 1936|
Son of James Johnson and Johanna Nilsdotter.
He married (1) Louise Boand, daughter of Francois Boand and Henritte Chevause, and (2) May E. Schlich, daughter of Edward Schlich and Mathilda Frederich.
He was a locomotive engineer with the Union Pacific Railroad. According to his cousin Carl Nilsson, "When we lived in Fremont and knew when he would be coming through on a Saturday Raymond and I often went down to the depot and waved to him. I always liked Cousin Adam. He was a very fine man. He lacked about three months of fifty years of service with the Union Pacific. He had planned on staying for the balance but when a couple of engineers whom he knew dropped dead in their cabs he decided he had enough and lived for some ten years after that." (Carl Adams Nilsson, 1983)
Go your way to the land of the Ancestors,
where they wait for you with open arms, there on the edge between this world and the next.
See; there they stand.
Ancestral spirits, welcome this one
to the place where we all must go.
