MUNCIE--Beatrice N. Amonett, 81, died Tuesday at Golden Living Center after an extended illness. She was born in Jamestown, TN, the daughter of Tom and Edith (Matthews) Johnson.
Beatrice loved to work in her yard and in her flower and vegetable garden. She canned and cooked for her family and enjoyed making quilts. She was loved by all her neighbors, especially the neighborhood children. She will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday at the mortuary from 6 until 8 p.m. or one hour prior to service time on Friday.
