Mrs. Matilda Anderson, 549 East North street, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at her home following three years of failing health. The deceased had been in serious condition during the past month, suffering from heart trouble.
Matilda Johnson was born in Sweden, February 22, 1859, coming to this country when ten years of age. She had made her home in Galesburg after retiring.
She was married to August "Gust" Anderson January 29, 1880 in Galesburg.
Her husband preceded her in death four years ago.
She is survived by two children, Mrs Harry Glickson and Oyral Anderson, residing west of Galesburg. A sister, Mrs N. P. Anderson and five grandchildren, Harriet Glickson, Marguerite, Willard, Hershel and Stanley Anderson, also survive.
The deceased was a member of the First Lutheran church.
Funeral services will be held from the home, 549 East North street, at two o'clock Wednesday afternon. Rev. C. E. Bengtson, pastor of the First Lutheran church, will officiate. Interment will be in Linwood cemetery. Friends may call at the home on Tuesday evening.
