Mrs. Signe Carlson Dies At Age of 75
Mrs. Signe Alfreda Carlson, 75, died at her home here about noon yesterday. She had been ill for the past two weeks. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mrs. Carlson was born April 23, 1885 at Smaland, Sweden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johan Johnson. She received her education in Sweden and came to the United States with her family in 1899, settling in Minnesota.

In 1920 she was married to Gotfried Carlson and the couple lived in the St. James, Minn. area. She was a member of the West Svedahl Lutheran Church in Minnesota.

Mrs. Carlson and her daughter, Ethel, moved to Estherville from St. James in March, 1960.

She is survived by her daughter, and a sister, Mrs. Edith Samuelson of St. James. Her parents, husband, one son and four brothers preceded her in death.

Services will be held at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday with evangelists Frank Tyson and George Watters officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
