Beatrice Coulter Coward, 89, of Chester, a retired A.H. Wirz printer, died March 30 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Lima, Middletown.
A lifelong city resident, she was born, raised and educated in the city of Chester.
Mrs. Coward was employed by the A.H. Wirz Company in Chester as a printer for over 40 years, until her retirement in 1963.
She was a member of the Parkside Senior Citizens.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth Meredith Johnson of Chester.
Mrs. Coward was the wife of the late Gilbert W. Coulter , who died in 1956, and of Charles R. Coward, who died in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ferreri of Wallingford; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home 2316 Providence Avenue, Chester, where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.
