Aaron DeWayne Johnson ``Baby Beat Box," 38, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2006, at Akron City Hospital.
He was a lifetime resident of this community. He had been employed as a computer engineer for Keithley Instruments, Inc., and was a member of St. John C.M.E. Church.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, John Epps Jr.; uncle, Robert C. Epps; and aunt, Byrdarea Wheeler, he is survived by son, Richard Johnson; daughter, Velayna Payne, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; mother, Juanita (Frank) Johnson of Jonesboro, Ga.; grandmother, Gladys Epps of Akron; sister, JoAnn (Tyrone) Roberts; nephew, Michael Roberts, both of Hampton, Ga.; aunts, Shelia (Kevin) Graham of Conyers, Ga., Gladys Davis of Akron; uncle, Vincent (Harriet) Epps of Austell, Ga.; special cousin, Jerome Davis; close friend, Chykela Williams of Akron; mother of his children, Sandra Payne of Las Vegas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2006, at 1 p.m., at St. John C.M.E. Church, 1233 S. Hawkins, with Rev. Arthur Green officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment at Glendale Cemetery.
