Nancy Jo Butler, 58, of Springfield, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at St. John's Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Springfield, the daughter of George Jr. and Esther Rothlauf Johnson. Mrs. Butler was a waitress at various area restaurants and supper clubs, including the Black Angus. She was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Survivors: a son, Jeff (wife, Ruth) Butler of North Aurora; a grandson; mother, Esther Rothlauf Johnson of Hillsboro; two sisters, Carol Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Tracy Chrans of Springfield; two brothers, Larry Johnson of Sherman and Terry Denler of Rochester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oak Ridge Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
