Fannie B. Johnson Evans was born Saturday, June 12, 1880 to William H. Johnson and Elizabeth Sykes Johnson in the Lanes Community of Morgan County, Alabama.

She married John B. Evans. She and her husband remained residents of the Lanes Community for many years, where they were engaged in farming. They moved to 1307 5th Avenue East, Decatur later in life.

Rites for Mrs. Fannie B. Evans, 79, Decatur 3, who died in a local hospital Saturday at 9 a.m. following a heart attack, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Belleview Church.

Rev. Jack Belew and Rev. Dan Johnson will officiate with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Browns directing.

Pallbearers will be James Robinson, Harold Black, Bascomb Scott, J. W. Baker, Frank Bates, and Clarence Hill.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wiley Scott, Decatur 3; one sister, Mrs. Bartee Jackson, Falkville 3; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and other relatives.
