GALESBURG - Elizabeth M. ''Betty'' Culver, 77, of 106 Illinois Ave. died at 4 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Dec. 8, 1925, in Galesburg to Wilfred and Elvera Starr Johnson, she married Earl H. Culver on Sept. 17, 1950, in Galesburg. He died May 24, 1996.

Surviving are three sons, Earl ''Bud'' (and Martha) of Azle, Texas, Bruce (and Sandra) of Chandler, Ariz., and Brian of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Beth (and Jeppie III) Harris of Galesburg; 12 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

She was a graduate of Brown's Business College.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Galesburg. She also was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

She was active with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Band Boosters and craft shows. She also served as an election judge.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at HinchliffPearson-West Galesburg Chapel, where visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight. The Rev. Joe Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church.
