Beverly McGill Johnson, 82, of South Weber, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 5:15 p.m., surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born March 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beverly grew up in Magna, and graduated from West High School, Salt Lake City, Utah, and married her lifelong husband John Kent Johnson on June 12, 1953 in the Saint George, Utah Temple.

Beverly was a dedicated and wonderful wife and mother. She also excelled in her career as an educator. "Mrs. Johnson" taught children with birth defects, worked with every grade level of youngsters, and then taught adult high school for many years in California.

She is survived by her husband Kent, her sister Margaret Duncan, her brother Angus McGill, her children Jody, Michael, Craig, Brian, and Julie (Thompson), their wives and husbands, and twenty-four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011 in the South Weber Sixth Ward Chapel, 2620 East 8200 South, South Weber.
Interment: Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
A viewing will precede the services on Monday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
