THE PARIS NEWS, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 26, 1997, PAGE 4B - DETROIT - Leisa Jane Brown, 45, Rt. 2, Detroit, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1997, at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas. A memorial service will be at 1 a.m. Saturday in the gymnasium of Detroit High School with the Rev. Pat Sherman and the Rev. Willie Johnson officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Jan. 18, 1952, in Deport to Dan and Modie Pratt Johnson. She attended schools in Detroit and earned B.A. and M.Ed. degrees from East Texas State University. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church. She had served as a board member for Child Protective Services of Red River County. She married Hugh C. Brown Aug. 2, 1971, in Detroit.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Joel Brown and Jeff Brown; a daughter, Leigh Napier; a granddaughter, Andreanna Elizabeth Ruth Brown; her mother, Modie Johnson; a brother, John Mack Johnson; two sisters, Phyllis Bryan and Kay Whitley; her mother-in-law, Madell Fogleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Johnson, in 1994. (bio by: Crackers)
