Mary Ann Cobb, of Lago Vista, Texas, passed from this life after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Round Rock Medical Center. She fought the good fight and finished the course peacefully. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, May 18, at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, in Austin with funeral services to follow. Interment is set for 3 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tobias and Rosie Johnson; three brothers, Harvey, Lloyd and Wayne Johnson, all of Minnesota; one sister; Lillian Crocker of Nevada; and one great-granddaughter, Ali Brook Cobb of Paris.
She is survived by her husband, John, of 48 years; her son, Michael, and daughter, Kristi Sailer (Chad). She was a wonderful grandmother to Melissa Long (Faron), Haley Richards (Billy), Christopher, Kayla, Jimmy (Lindsay), Justin and Hunter. She has 12 great-grandchildren and one surviving brother; Richard.
