COLE, MRS. ELIZABETH J. - age 80, of Tazewell, Tenn., was born January 7, 1921, and passed away January 1, 2002, at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was a member of Taylor's Grove Baptist Church. She lived in the Regency Village for 13 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Asbury Johnson and mother, Kate (Holloway) Johnson; special uncle, Curtis Holloway; daughter, Billie Jean Dykes, and grandson, Jackie Dykes, and many special uncles, aunts and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Deardorff of Tazewell; granddaughter, Donna Perry; grandsons, Billy (Del) Perry, both of Sharps Chapel, Tenn., Brian Perry and wife, Patricia of New Tazewell, Tenn., and Ronnie Dykes and Betty Jo of Sharps Chapel, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Lucan and Jess Perry, Jason, Casey, Crissy and Josh Dykes; aunt, Lottie Shelby of Sarasota, Fla., and very special friend, Jack Strunk, and many more special friends and cousins. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday nights at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2002, at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Taylor Grove Cemetery, Rev. Johnny Robinson and Rev. Earl Maples officiating. Music by David and Juanita Honeycutt. Pallbearers: Billy Perry, Brian Perry, Freddy Holloway, Jack Strunk, Rob Beeler, and Robyn Baston. Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Carter and John Carter. Coffey Funeral Home, in charge.
