Chassie L. Dixon, 91, of Cutler Street, died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Dixon was a housewife and the widow of Dennis Dixon.
She was a Baptist.
Those close to her knew her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. They said she will be missed dearly by everyone.
Survivors include five sons: Marion "Dick" Dixon of Patterson, Mo., and Charles Dixon, Gary Dixon, John Dixon, and Wayne Dixon, all of Greeneville; two daughters: Dorothy Blevins and Peggy Myers, both of Greeneville; eight granddaughters: Tammy Bowens, Amy Brown, Kaye Watson, Amy Dixon, Angel Dixon, Jolyene Dixon, JoAnn Myers, and a special granddaughter, Kathy Dixon; nine grandsons: Marty Dixon, Billy Dixon, Junior Myers, Ray Myers, John Dixon Jr., Dennis Dixon, Kevin Harrison, Marion Watson, and Ricky Dixon; several great-grandchildren; and a sister: Callie Tame of Greeneville.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gene Dixon; two daughters: Mary Ruth Harrison and an infant; a grandson: Junior Dixon; a granddaughter: Minnie Myers; three brothers: Billy Johnson, Dave Johnson, and Duke Johnson; and two sisters: Cynthia Johnson and Ollie Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with interment in Price Cemetery in the Kelley Gap community. The Rev. Ivan Cutshall will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Mary Dixon, Kathy Dixon, Jerry Brown, Jody Brown, Junior Myers, Ray Myers, and Curtis Malone.
