MRS. HANCE DIES
Aged Resident of booth's Corner and Well-Known
Mrs. Margaret W. Hance, widow of J. Wesley Hance, died yesterday at the age of 83 years at her home at Booth's Corner. The respected woman had been in ill health for several years, suffering with general debility.
She was a life long resident of the locality in which she died and was a consistent church and temperance worker during the earlier years of her life. For many years she was devoted to the W.C.T.U. cause. She was accredited with being the oldest surviving member of Siloam Methodist Church and of various church organizations.
She is survived by the following children: A. J. Hance, Booth's Corner's merchant; W. J. W. Hance of Wilmington, and Mrs. P. B. Cartnell, of Wilmington. she is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Johnson, of Johnson's Corner; Mrs. George W. Todd, of Wilmington, Mrs. Hance's husband, a prominent and life-long resident of the county, died ten years ago.
