Ida Mae Tyler Bloodworth, was born June 30, 1928 in New Kent, Virginia to the late James and Julia Johnson.
She attended and graduated from New Kent Training School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Branch Baptist Church in New Kent, Virginia.
She worked and lived at a private resort facility, Camp Kenwood, New Kent, Virginia, as a cook.
She was united in marriage to Junuis Richard Tyler and out of this union five children were born, Sylvia Avon Tyler Watson, Junuis Richard Tyler, Jr., Odell McNeil Tyler, Cynthia Darlene Tyler Fuller and Bernard Tyler.
She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1960. She worked at the Philadelphia Marriott for 26 years as a chef. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching basketball, baseball and football - her favorite teams were the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Cowboys.
Ida was preceded by two husbands, Junuis Richard Tyler, Louis Bloodworth; her three brothers, Alpheus Johnson, Bennie Johnson and Joe Johnson.
She is survived by: her five children, one brother, Roosevelt Johnson of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Lucy Sydnor of Richmond Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Kate Lee Johnson of New Kent, Virginia, Lorraine Green of Richmond, Virginia and Dot Tyler of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Erica Tyler, Justin Watson, Rhonda Tyler, Alissa Cassidy, Odell Tyler, Jr., Aliyah Tyler, David Fuller, Daniel Fuller, and Naijah Tyler; one daughter-in-law, Kim Tyler; two sons-in-law, James Watson and Daniel Fuller; one stepson, David Tyler; one step grandson, Paris Sutherland.
