On 7 April 1858, Sarah married John Bishop (originally Bischoff), a German, who had emigrated from Bremen with his family in 1845. Sarah and John had 13 children who lived to adulthood. Sarah died on 3 March 1929 in Springdale, Stevens County, Washington. Her body was sent Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon, so that she could be buried next to John. She was buried 8 March 1929. Addison, Mrs. Minnie Winford, all from Oregon; five sons, F. H. of Spokane, C. H. of Oregon, W. E. of Walla Walla, Louis of Idaho, S. K. of Pomeroy; 30 grandchildren. Member of Relief Corps of Roseburg, Ore. Body will be sent to Roseburg, Ore., Tuesday evening for funeral and interment. Hazen & Jaeger in charge.
