Eileen Melba (Johnson) Glenn of Hulbert was born to Leroy and Elsie (Wilmon) Johnsons on October 7, 1950 in Okmulgee and she died Monday, January 24, 2000 at her home in Hulbert while surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and friends at the age of 49 years 2 months and 14 days.
Eileen received her early education in Wagoner. She spent most of her life in the Hulbert community except for the short time she spent in Iowa as a nurse's aide. Eileen was a Baptist and she worked as the office manager for the Farmers Insurance Company in Tulsa for over 10 years.
She loved animals and her hobby was collecting all kinds of ceramic elephants. Eileen enjoyed working with flowers and roses were her favorite. She was a great cook and fount satisfaction working in the kitchen.
She is survived by her father, Leroy Johnson and his companion Maxine of Hulbert; her husband, David of the home; three sons, Edward Broaddrick and his wife Lisa of Skiatook, Bobby Broaddrick of Tulsa and step son Eric Glenn of the home; three daughters, Samantha Broaddrick of Tulsa; step-daughters Amber Glenn of Hulbert and Jenna Glenn of Sand Springs; six brothers, Leroy Johnson, Jrs., and his wife Elizabeth of Broken Arrow, Bobby Johnson and his wife Thelma of Inola, Donald Johnson and his wife Melvina of Wagoner, Terry Johnson of Tulsa, Chester Johnson and his wife Theresa of Wagoner and Jerry Johnson and his wife Vanessa of Hulbert; one sister Ruth Ann Collins and husband Doyle of Prattville, five grandchildren, numerous nieces , nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Wagoner with the Reverend Eddie James officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner under the direction of Shipman funeral Home and Crematory.
