Wilma E. Colson 83, passed away Sunday February 6, 2011. She was born Augst 6, 1927, to Luther and Eddie Johnson, in Joplin Mo. and was a lifelong resident.
She married John Colson in 1945, he survives.
Wilma was a 1946 graduate of Joplin High Scool, she worked in sales at Macy's and t Piggy Wiggly grocery stores in the Joplin area as a cadier. She was a member of South Cristian Church.
She is also survived by a son, Gary Colson and daugter in law Karen Colson, three grandchildren, Tamar Colson, Garyn Colson, and Nathan Colson. five great grandchildren, Gage Haskew, Taryn Colson, Tyler Colson, Alyx Colson and Madison Sohosky. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Colson. She will be taken for cremation. Aprivate family gathering will be held, Burial will be in Ozark Memorial beside er husband John Colson Jr.
