Three of four survivors of an accident Sunday on Harford Road remained at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday, hospital officials said. John Topfer, 53, of the 1500 block of Cedarwood Drive in Bel Air was released yesterday, a Shock Trauma official said. Topfer was riding in the front seat of a Jeep Cherokee struck head-on by a Honda Civic shortly after 5 p.m. The Cherokee's driver, Dennis Mitchell, 52, of the 600 block of Emmy Dee Drive in Bel Air was in serious condition at Shock Trauma yesterday. Also at Shock Trauma were two of the four people in the Honda. Anne Marie Johnson, 21, of the first block of Burke Ave. in Towson was in serious condition yesterday, the hospital official said. Kim Sible, 19, of the 600 block of Sorrelwood Drive in Bel Air was in critical but stable condition. Killed in the collision were the Honda's driver, Frank Carico, 21, of the 500 block of Ruth Ave. in Bel Air, and passenger Bernard Johnson, 20, of the 700 block of Burnside Drive in Bel Air.
