|Death: ||Jul. 23, 1857|
Suddenly, on the 23d instant, EMMA JANE JOHNSON, aged 10 months, only daughter of Margaret A. and the late Jas. Johnson.
The once lov'd form, now cold and dead,
Each mournful thought employs,
And nature weeps for comforts fled,
And wither'd all her joys.
So fades the lovely, blooming flower,
___ smiling solace of an hour;
So soon our transient comforts fly,
And pleasure only blooms to die.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral, on this (Friday) afternoon, at three o'clock, from her father's residence, No. 73 Chew street.
