"The LaFayette Sun" - May 22, 1918:

Death of Mrs. Sarah Amy Frederick.

After long months of illness during which she was a great sufferer, Mrs. Sarah Amy Frederick died at her home here in the early morning of last Tuesday. She was 72 years of age. The deceased was the widow of Dr. A. H. R. Frederick, who was for so many years one of our prominent physicians. Surviving her are several nieces and nephews, among them Mrs. W. A. Andrews, of Opelika, Ala., Messrs. W. B. Dixon, of LaFayette, and W. Y. Johnson, of Montgomery. Mrs. Frederick's maiden name was Miss Sarah Amy Johnson. She was born in Georgia, and came from a distinguished family. For many years she was a member of the Baptist church of LaFayette. Those who have been nearest to her in the last years of her life speak tenderly of her kindness of heart and great appreciation of her friends. Patient through all her sufferings, she was continually upheld by her Christian faith. Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. R. Arnold, the pastor, Rev. L. A. Holmes and Dr. W. C. Bledsoe took part in the service.
